Learning or interested in Astronomy?
Sky-Watcher 707 az2 Telescope is an excellent 70mm achromatic refractor telescope that is perfectly suited for beginners. It has enough light gathering power to deliver clear, crisp and detailed images of our nearest planetary neighbours and even some of the brighter deep space objects. Aside from stargazing, this refractor telescope is also suitable for terrestrial viewing.

All SkyWatcher telescopes are backed by a 5 year Australian warranty.

Superb Imaging Qualities

This achromatic refractor from Skywatcher features an aperture of 70mm and is fully multi-coated to enhance light transmission. It delivers clear, high contrast images of the moon and the planets. Those new to Astronomy will appreciate how simple and easy this telescope is to use.

The Refractor Advantage

Images viewed through a refractor telescope have a classic quality that other telescope designs lack. Since a refractor does not use mirrors to view objects, you get a generally brighter image. Images are also displayed right side up, making it suitable for viewing terrestrial objects when attached to an Alt-Azimuth mount.

Sturdy and Precise

The Alt-Azimuth mount provides a sturdy and secure platform for viewing. Precision gears and mechanical parts ensure accurate tracking and slewing. It is also easy to assemble so you can start viewing a few minutes after you arrive at your favourite spot!

*Please note, the image through all finder scopes will be upside down.

Great telescope

My son loves his new telescope and is enjoying becoming familiar with it.
The only issue he is having is that when he tries to view the moon he can't see anything, even though he has the moon in the view finder!
