This telescope accessory kit is the perfect addition to any telescope. The kit contains:
The Astromaster accessory kit is designed to enhance the functionality and pleasure of using your Celestron Telescope. This telescope accessory kit may also be used with many other telescope brands that accept 1.25" eyepieces and filters.General Features of Telescope Accessory Case
15mm Kellner eyepiece - this will provide a medium-level magnification, ideal for faint deep sky objects. "Kellner" refers to the simple, yet effective, optical design, ideal for this size eyepiece.
6mm Plossl eyepiece - this will provide a high-level magnification, ideal for solar system objects like Jupiter or Saturn. Plossl eyepieces are great all-rounder eyepieces, and give nice, clear views.
2x Barlow (or "power doubling") lens - combine with any other 1.25" eyepiece to double its magnification, giving you more options for magnification levels. This Barlow lens also includes T-threads, so can be combined with an optional T-Ring and a DSLR camera for astrophotography.
Planetary filters - either of these two filters can be attached to any Celestron brand eyepieces and can help with improving visibility for some objects. As a rule of thumb, use the colour filter that is opposite to the colour of the object you are observing, such as the red filter for Saturn or blue filter for Mars.
Moon filter - if you've ever tried looking at the full moon through a telescope, you know how bright it can get! Moon filters cut down on that excess light, making for a much more comfortable viewing session and accentuating crater and maria details.
Carry case and microfibre cloth - made of a hard plastic and filled with foam with pre-cut holes for each of the above accessories, the included carry case provides a safe and convenient storage and travel solution. Microfibre cloths are ideal for cleaning fingerprints - just make sure you wipe gently rather than scrub!
All accessories are suitable for telescopes that take 1.25" eyepieces.
