I used this rocket to demonstrate chemical change to my grade 3/4 class. The kids LOVED it. They enjoyed watching to see how high we could get it to go. The kids even used it themselves with great success! I would highly recommend it! *There were a few occasions where it fizzled because the top wasn't on correctly, so we also learnt a little 'persistence' until we got the mix right!
I would recommend this to a friend!

The idea is good. Mix baking soda and vinegar to generate co2 which builds up pressure and makes the rocket fly. Unfortunately, I found that either you jam the rocket on really hard to the base and then it doesn't have enough pressure to launch. Or you put it on lightly and then it leaks and so doesn't fly. Tried about 10 times with zero successes.
